Theme Thursday: TEXT

I walked past my son's bedroom door and this caught my eye:

If you knew my son and his humor, you'd find this hilarious. Trust me, I laughed really hard when I discovered it.

The reference is to the scene from Star Wars Episode VI when Admiral Ackbar tells the rebel pilots "IT'S A TRAP..." when they are attacking the Death Star.

And I agree with Jonah, growing up is most certainly a trap. I hope he stays eight forever.

There's more TEXT over at Clan Donaldson this week.

  1. I don't know anything about Star Wars but any kid who puts awesome handmade signs on his door is my kind of kid. I especially like his correct use of punctuation.

  4. Eight is a great age. I always feel slightly guilty when my kids say they don't want to grow up and become an adult, as if I am not representing adulthood well. And even from my point of view, it seems like other adults have all the fun - I see them on TV doing all sorts of fun things and wonder why I don't do anything fun? I hope I do more fun things before I get too old. Already, roller coasters give me whiplash : (
