Farewell June (And You Too, Google Reader)

June

The sun is rich
And gladly pays
In golden hours,
Silver days,

And long green weeks
That never end
School's out. The time
Is ours to spend.

There's Little League,
Hopscotch, the creek,
And, after supper,
Hide-and-seek.

That live-long light
Is like a dream,
And freckles come
Like flies to cream.

~ John Updike

Anyone else struggling with the fact that summer is 1/3 over?

How about the fact that school resumes in two more months?

AAAHHHH!!

Never mind, we'll focus on the memories already made and the fun yet to come.

Instead, let's all bid adieu to our beloved (and already nearly forgotten) Google Reader who comes to its demise tomorrow.

In case you've forgotten, importing all the blogs you read over to Bloglovin' is super-de-duper easy.

Oh, and don't forget, I'm over there too! Be sure and click over on my sidebar and follow me in Bloglovin'.

It will make Gianna smile. A Lot.

And me too.

Let's bring on July!

  1. I made a tactical error in home schooling last year. I decided to end later (Memorial weekend) rather than Mother's day. Oh my gosh! That just about killed me. So, not to make the same mistake again, we are starting earlier. July 22. So that means an abbreviated summer for sure. Ending late and starting early. My kids are not happy with me. But it will be good in the long run. More breaks throughout the school year and done by early May next spring. Besides, it's way too hot to go outside the end of July and through August. (I keep trying to convince them all of that!) Enjoy your time...hard to believe July 4th is this week!

  2. I lovin' you on Bloglovin'! :) I love the 4th of July, but yeah, it definitely seems like the summer is 1/2 over by then.

Oh, and I sent you a reply to your e-mail from Friday, but then I realized I sent you 2 e-mails and one was blank...ugh. Anyway, if you didn't get the one with my reply, just let me know and I can send it again.

    Happy Summer!
